2019-20 Basketball Season Information

2019-20 Basketball Season Information

Basketball Parents, Players and Coaches,

We are excited about our 2019-20 Basketball Season! We have another great season with 280 plus players and 33 teams. With that, comes some challenges on practice and game scheduling, we have worked all of that out but want to remind everyone it is a very tight schedule with NO room to make changes.

Practices: are going on now, coaches please use your practice times assigned to you. If for some reason you will not be using your time, please let us know so we can fill it with another team. Once games start, we will still have some limited practice slots that coaches can call the office and see what we have available. We know some of you are using other locations and that is fine. We are also working on the Community Centers around the area to use for practices, but that only works during good weather. Please pickup after your practice at whatever practice area you are at.

Games: Games start December 7th. Game schedules are done and posted online. Each team has been scheduled 8 regular season games. The first 4 games will NOT be tracked as far as score for seeding. We want you to use these games to work on your game plan, teach skills and get your team ready. The score from the last 4 games of the season  WILL be tracked for seeding into the End of Season Tournament single elimination bracket. Seeding will be in this order: Win/Loss record,  Head to Head and then Allowed. There is no entry fee for these regular season games, and the only time there will be entry fee will be for the end of season tournament bracket.  Pictures  will before your first game. Click Here for picture schedule. Uniforms and picture order forms will be given out sometime next week. Remember: We provide the jersey, players must provide anything else needed including black shorts.

Gym Conduct: We want to remind everyone of our Code of Ethics and the obligation to conduct yourself with good sportsmanship while at the Gym. Also, once games start, we will have a concession stand open and no outside drink or food will be allowed (drinks for players will be allowed). Please cleanup behind yourself while at the gym. NO outside basketballs will be allowed in the gym. We will provide what you need for games and practices. As you enter the gym, be mindful that only players, coaches and officials will be allowed on the left side of the gym. All spectators will need to go to the right side in the bleachers. Game times are very tight, so please keep everyone off the court unless playing in the current game. Coaches, when your game is done, please get your team off the court and out of the way ASAP.

End of Season Tournament Bracket: This single elimination bracket for each age group will be held from end of January - February 1st. There will be a $5 entry fee.Players, Coaches and children 6 and under will be free. You may play your bracket on more then one day, but you will only have to pay once. We will send out these details as we get closer. Rings will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place for each age group.

Again, we thank you for everything and helping us with another great season of basketball!!!! If you have any questions or concerns, please respond to this email or feel free to call the office at 601-402-7299. See you on the court!!!
